Services

We believe in offering a full array of treatments and services to help our patients in addition to great chiropractic adjustments. These include:

SACRO-OCCIPITAL TECHNIQUE (SOT) & CRANIOPATHY:

The position of the cranial bones determines the position of an anatomical structure known as dura mater, a tough membranous sheath that contains the cerebral-spinal fluid (CSF). The CSF is what delivers oxygen and food to the brain and spinal cord.

If the cranial bones and dura mater are misaligned, the circulation of cerebral-spinal fluid is blocked which results in pain and dysfunction.

After the location of blockage is determined, a light force adjustment is performed. By aligning the cranial bones, the CSF can circulate properly which increases the function of the central nervous system. With the central nervous system functioning optimally, we can achieve

MASSAGE THERAPY:

Our office employs two excellent licensed massage therapists who perform deep tissue, sport or injury specific, pregnancy, and relaxation massages. It is offered Monday through Friday by appointment. The Doctors feel that the combination of massage therapy with chiropractic adjustments greatly help our patients heal faster.

INSTRUMENT ADJUSTING:

For those patients who are not comfortable with manual (hands-on) adjustments, the Doctors use a hand-held instrument (Activator) to perform spinal adjustments. It works great on very tight muscles and arthritic joints, and on children. It is also effective in treating TMJ disorders.

FLEXION-DISTRACTION THERAPY:

This form of treatment is wonderful for lower back injuries ie: sprains & strains, herniated discs, and sciatic nerve irritation. It involves a table that provides passive motion and traction to the spine, nerves, and muscles.

PHYSIO-THERAPY MODALITIES:

These are considered passive therapies, meaning the patient and the doctor don’t have to be active. These include:

  • Intersegmental traction- a table you lay on while rollers travel up and down your spine. It relaxes the muscles while slowly moving the spinal joints.
  • Electrical stimulation-pads are placed over an area with a small current. It is good for reducing pain and relaxing muscles.
  • Hot & cold therapy- Heat helps to reduce pain and relax knotted muscles. Cold helps to reduce pain and decrease inflammation.

ACTIVE THERAPY, SPORTS REHAB & KINESEOTAPING FOR SPINE AND EXTREMITY PAIN:

This includes exercises and stretches that require the patient, and sometimes the doctor, to actively perform. Including such techniques as: manual massage, Active Relese Technique, Graston, neuro-muscular re-education of certain body regions, PNF stretching, strengthening and balance exercises. Instruction on the proper way of performing strengthening and stretches will be given so the patient can take an active role in their health maintenance. These are a crucial part of any patients care. In addition, KineseoTape is applied by both doctors and is used to active support the muscle when the patient in not in the office.
